Ushashya

Ushashya- the beginning of the day,

With the sun’s first ray,

It shows the world a new start,

Telling to buy happiness from day’s mart,

And to make you forget yesterday’s flummox,

To let you gain from today’s stock.

This aurora is so sacred,

For the green and so for the red,

Hindus in the month of Kartik,

Pray to God at dawn strict,

Muslims in Ramzan,

Eat now and start their fast.

So when no hope is in sight,

Again the sun shines and proves,

Darkness forever is beaten up by light.
